Woooo let's go

Helps that Boston is without pasta and the rat

I don't see Smith and Tennyson getting lots of 5v5 time

Why didn't you guys pick up Craig Anderson when they waived n signed.
You kinda needed him.

PK, Murray, Severson, and Kulikov are pretty solid on paper. Putting your prized rookie (with no NHL experience) with a tweener like Tennyson seem dangerous. Not that I think Tennyson is horrible; but he's not a strong partner. You want Ty Smith with someone who can cover for him. Granted, this will look better when we add Vats.

No Pasta and Baby Marchand helps but we've got plenty of our own guys out.

I'd like everyone to stay healthy long enough to get a look at this team at 'full strength'. I'm not expecting winning hockey but I think they could be competitive and play a good style.

LETS GO DEVILS!!!

Because he's 39 and hasn't been good for three years.

Thanks for the analysis Roger. Let’s hope this is a great year of development for the kids and we end up in position to draft a true #1 D-Man

This season he would not help much, given our status. Best to have the younger players, such as Senn, get some experience on the taxi squad.

If any team "needs" Anderson, they are doomed. I'd sooner see what Comrie can do as backup. Plus, more goalies will be getting waived throughout the season. Injuries happen and the taxi squads will be activated frequently this season.

Comrie was our guy, doubt we pick up anyone else unless injuries/covid hits hard.

I'm all for this. Anybody would be on the table for me except Jack, Nico, Ty, and Holtz.

Not gonna happen for Devs. No way they trade him into the Metro division to haunt them for his career.

Never promising when the "kick off the season" article starts off with who will we have as trade bait towards the end of the season....can't we leave that conversation for March?

Highly doubt a trade for PLD happens without giving up Jack or Nico + more... a move involving Hughes or Hischier would go against every message released by Fitz as them being the pillars to build around.

Would love to have him, but not at cost of either of our young centers or our 1st rounder in '21.

Surprised to see Butcher scratched and Kulikov on the left side. Smith needs to make the most of this and I really hope he looks like a piece to the future.
PLD.. wouldn’t that leave us with him, Nico, Hughes, and Zacha down the middle? Maybe that’s where they should play anyway honesty. We just don’t know yet, and just had to give Hischier star-caliber money to put up 55 points. Is PLD really that good? He’ll be a ufa after 21-22. 3rd overall in 2016.
The roster tonight has one top line player in Palmieri, and he’d be the 3rd best on that line. The only other top 6 guy is Gusev.
Locked and loaded for a top 5 pick.
Losing out on 6th and 9th overall still kills me. Imagine having both Holtz AND Rossi or Perfetti.. talk about having a future.

We gave Nico that contract b/c it was a smart play. Assuming he will stay a 55 point player for the entirety of the deal is short-sighted. You make those deals b/c in the early years it may seem like an overpay, but at the end of those deals it is a team friendly contract that is seen as an underpay.

Look at the Bergeron contract, the Mackinnon contract, Leon Draisaital contract... many people in the organization and most fans see him developing into this caliber player and he is locked up for long term on a deal that doesn't kill our cap like a Marner contract.

Just business side of the league, and good business at that.

Not a great trade partner as CBJ most likely reverts back to NJD division next year. Plus NJD not willing to include this years first is likely a non-starter.

Drysdale wouldve been the pick at 6. Cant play the what if game though

Mercer is a damn good "consolation prize" to dropping back with that pick. It wasn't in our control, no point in musing over it. We still came out of that pick with a very good prospect

The goose is a UFA after this year. I would pencil him as part of the future.

For PLD I would absolutely back the truck up. 1st rounder, roster player and prospect. We have enough young players. It's time to build around them and he's on a bridge RFA.
